Swift Reveals Outrage Of Braun Purchasing Her Entire Music Catalog

Music mogul Scooter Braun, a longtime enemy of singer Taylor Swift, now owns the rights to nearly all her music. Swift has gone public about her fury at Braun’s purchase of her entire catalog, up to 2017’s “Reputation.”

Swift called Braun a “bully” and says his acquisition of her music is “my worst case scenario.” Braun purchased the rights to Big Machine Records, the label Swift signed with when she was just a teenager.

“I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past. Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums,” Swift wrote in a Tumblr post. “Some fun facts about today’s news: I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years.”

Taylor Swift says her entire catalog of music now belongs to someone who tried to “dismantle” her career.

The feud between Braun and Swift has compelled Hollywood to take sides. Singer Halsey, for one, is firmly on Team Taylor. Halsey tweeted that Swift “deserves to own the painstaking labor of her heart.”
