MTV VMA Nominees Revealed

This year’s MTV Awards are shaping up to be one of the craziest nights the award show has seen yet! It was recently announced that none other than the twerking queen herself, Miley Cyrus, is going to host the festivities (probably without an appearance by her grinding buddy Robin Thicke).

If there is one thing that we know about Miley, it is that we have no idea what to expect. So, that right there should be enough to make you want to tune into the show come August 30, but today the nominees for the awards have been announced which has only added more excitement to the already buzzed about night of music.

It should come as no shock that leading the pack this year is the trifecta of musical talent – Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Beyonce. All three have had an amazing year when it came to their music, specifically Taylor Swift who took the world by storm with the now iconic album ‘1989’ plus the world tour that she recently embarked on to promote it.

Ed Sheeran seems to be more popular than ever, with his silky smooth lyrics and swoon worthy voice – it is no shock MTV is putting him up for the biggest awards of the night. Then, we come to Beyonce.

Her game changing self-titled album has been making waves in the music world since 2013, but she has released some impressive videos to add to her resume this year including the video for ‘7/11’ which appears to have all been shot on the singer’s iPhone. So who is going to go home the biggest winner of the night? And what performances are going to entertain us the most? Tune in on August 30 to find out for yourself!
