Tattoo Artist Turned Healer

Holly Feneht, a tattoo artist in Santa Clarita, CA, is that special kind of human who does a great service for others. She has worked with many cancer survivors during their healing process. Her artwork helps her clients to see strength and healing instead of their scars.

Feneht has seen her loved ones go through cancer and both the physical and emotional damage that go with it. At her tattoo shop, she uses ink to transform mastectomy scars into a better memory. Feneht encourages art therapy, using art to achieve a positive feeling and to transform a life-altering experience into a powerful one.

One of her clients describes her tattoos as making her “feel whole again.” Some women who go through such struggles are unaware that they can cover their scars with beautiful artwork and begin with a fresh start.

Art can be a great form of therapy. The American Art Therapy Association explains it’s used to “improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight…” and more. For the clients at the Gilded Lily in Santa Clarita, it’s a reminder they are healing beautifully.
