School shooter starts firing off rounds at 7:30 a.m. in Santa Fe high school, with the first call to authorities recorded at 7:32 a.m. At least 10 victims are dead, numerous injured with no information on whether they are students or staff at this time.

Two suspects are taken into custody for questioning, both reportedly are students of Santa Fe highschool. One being detained and the other suspect under arrest. The shooter was armed with an AR-15 rifle, pistol, shot gun, and pipe bombs. One student reported that the shooter was wearing a trench coat with big boots into school, before hearing the first three shots.

Once the school was evacuated there was a search, with the police finding explosive devices inside and outside the school. Neighborhoods around the area of the school were warned by police to exercise caution and to call the police if there is any sign of suspicious material, such as bomb devices.

The initial shots were coming from the art classroom, according to student witnesses. Witnesses report that the shooter entered the art room yelling “Surprise,” bursting into the room with gun shots.

President Donald Trump comments on the shooting saying that this issue needs to be address and has gone on for decades. The Everytown for Gun Safety advocacy group has a statistic that since 2013 there have been 311 school shootings.
