The Return

The popular ‘90s gem, “Streets of Fury,” is finally making a comeback after 24 years of absence. Created by Sega, “Streets of Rage” is a side scrolling beat- em up that’s adjacent to the game play as “Battle Toads” and “Final Fight” (in Japan, its known as “Bare Knuckles”).

It was first released in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. Sega only released three Streets of Rage games, with Streets of Rage 3 3 being the last one to come out for the Sega Genesis in 1994.

“Streets Of Rage 4,” however, will be developed by Lizardcube (“Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap”) and Guard Crush Games, respectively. This new title will include new mechanics and an original story. The games are style will encompass visuals adjacent to that of Lizardcube’s 2017 remake of “Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap.” Solo and cooperative play is what “Streets of Rage” mostly consists of and can be difficult to play at times.

There is speculation of Co-op being online, however, that’s still unclear. Moreover, they still have not given a release date for the title either.
