Former White House Communications Director thinks Trump won’t be Republican Nominee in 2020
Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci, notorious for acting as President Trump’s White House Communications Director for eleven days, has since become a vocal anti-Trump critic. This time, Scaramucci is saying the Republicans should run another nominee for President in 2020, instead of the “demagogue” Trump.
“We’ll find a Republican that has the personality, the charisma, the energy, and the smarts to take this guy [Trump] on. And so we’ll do that,” Scaramucci said during a Fox News appearance. “I predict that he won’t be the nominee.”
Scaramucci also appears to be a fan of Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang. The Mooch posted a photo of Yang on Twitter with the caption, “The force is strong with #YangGang.”
“The guy has a lot of good principles, he’s basically a libertarian,” Scaramucci said on a different TV appearance, this time with CNN’s Erin Burnett. “We need — after this devastation, we need a post-partisan presidency where we’re not focusing on left or right policy … and focus on right and wrong policies. So Andrew has a good message, but I’m a Republican.”
Trump has fired back at Scaramucci on Twitter, suggesting the former Communications Director just wants his 15 minutes of fame.
“Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on ‘President Trump.’ Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence. Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!” Trump tweeted.
