Saving The Earth One Car Wash at a Time
In Cameroon, a new car wash is making car owners and the environment happy as their cars get cleaned dirt cheap while they finish up their office work. Local entrepreneur Sylvia has innovated a solar-powered mobile car wash.
This machine uses just 6 liters of water per car for just 1.5 Euros. A regular car wash in Cameroon uses an average of 200 L of water. That’s a huge number for a country that rations household water supplies. Howash travels to clients.
The Howash mechanism uses a pump and a variable sprayer that allows a reduced water consumption. Clients don’t have to be in their car while it’s being cleaned. It’s a great example of eco-friendly technology and it doesn’t damage the car’s paint work. So far, about 3,000 people have used Howash, with new customers calling every day.
