Luke Perry Hospitalized For Stroke Complications

Actor Luke Perry is under observation in hospital after reportedly suffering a stroke. The 52-year-old is best known for his roles as Fred Andrews in Netflix hit “Riverdale” and Dylan McKay in “Beverly Hills 90210”.

TMZ reported that paramedics were called to Perry’s home in Sherman Oaks, California, on Wednesday morning and the actor was taken to a nearby hospital. They said it was unclear what his condition is now.

A spokesman for the actor said he was “currently under observation at the hospital” but did not give any further details. He had been in Los Angeles shooting scenes for “Riverdale”.

Shannon Doherty, who played his love interest Brenda Walsh in “90210”, shared a picture of the pair together on her Facebook page in an apparent show of support. Perry was taken to the hospital just hours after it was revealed the cast of the 90s drama series would reunite for a reboot.

Fox announced the show would be returning with original stars Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris and Brian Austin Green. Perry and Doherty are not thought to be involved.
