Rihanna was taught, “if you have a dollar there’s plenty to share.”
Donating one dollar to Rihanna’s ‘Dollar Campaign’ can get you a ticket to the Diamond Ball, and, more importantly, get schools built and filled with books and supplies for children who need it.
Rihanna’s Foundation, the Clara Lionel Foundation, is a nonprofit organization that she founded and named after her grandparents. The foundation raises funds to provide healthcare and education where it is needed most around the world. Their platform is this: “We believe in the right to education as a weapon against injustice and inequality, and the right to health as a necessity for happiness and productivity.”
Harvard named Rihanna the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year, further proving that gal can write, sing, dance, act, lead, and do anything! The Dollar Campaign will support the construction of schools in Malawi and get kids the materials and education they deserve. One month of school for one student costs about twenty dollars, but we all know that learning to read, write, think and become a global citizen is invaluable.
One dollar donated to Rihanna’s campaign will earn a lucky winner airfare, hotel, and two tickets to the Diamond Ball. According to Billboard.com, the event will be hosted by Dave Chapelle and Kendrick Lamar and Calvin Harris will be performing. You have until September 5th to donate, and a winner will be chosen on the 7th!
