The Ravens were the victors in their Thanksgiving rivalry game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They won 22-20, advancing their record to 6-6. Baltimore and Pittsburgh’s latest matchup had all the typical tension and aggression. Several fights broke out on field, and the fans were as raucous as ever.

Surprisingly, the only touchdown that Baltimore scored was in the First Quarter. It happened on the Ravens’ first possession, and the drive ended with a 7 yard pass from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith. The rest of the Raven’s points were scored by Kicker Justin Tucker. Tucker played a great game, kicking 5 field goals. His longest one was 48 yards, which he sank in the 4th quarter.

The Ravens lead the entire game, going to Halftime up 10-0. The Steelers were finally able to score a touchdown in the 3rd quarter, off a 8 yard pass to Emmanuel Sanders from Roethlisberger. They had several chances to make a comeback, but were never able to capitalize on the opportunities.  On their last chance, Pittsburgh scored a touchdown with 1:03 left on the clock. This brought the score to 20-22. The team opted to go for the 2 yard conversion to tie the game. The conversion failed; Roethlisberger was able to get the ball to Emmanuel Sanders in the end zone but the ball slipped through Sanders’ hands.

In the end, QB Joe Flacco ended the game 24-35, and went for 251 yards. Torrey Smith garnered 6 receptions, with 93 yards and a touchdown. On the Steelers end, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 257 yards with 2 TDs.  Baltimore will most likely be in the playoffs, but it is now doubtful that Pittsburgh will make it.
