Trump goes on the attack against Pelosi
Democrats in the House, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are in the process of impeaching President Trump. However, the impeachment inquiry hasn’t held Trump back, and he gave a fiery speech at a campaign rally in Minnesota yesterday. At the rally, he attacked Pelosi as “really stupid” and said she’s “lost it.”
“She’s either got one of two problems: she’s either really stupid or she’s really lost it, or maybe there’s a certain dishonesty there,” Trump told the crowd, to enormous applause.
Trump also attacked the media during the rally, accusing them of printing “fake news” and doing the bidding of the Democrats. He referenced a 2017 story in the Washington Post as evidence that Democrats have been determined to impeach him all along.
“Do you remember that, just 19 minutes after I raised my hand and took the oath of office, The Washington Post, a terrible newspaper that doesn’t know how to write the truth, published a story, and in this case, they might’ve gotten it pretty correct, they said, ‘The Campaign To Impeach President Trump Has Begun.’ That was the headline. Little did we know they weren’t playing games. Think of that. That was 19 minutes after the oath of office,” Trump said.
The Democrats clapped back at Trump after the rally. Presidential candidate Joe Biden said he had spent the evening “talking about fundamental respect every human being deserves” at a townhall forum hosted by the Human Rights Campaign. Trump, on the other hand, spent the evening “showing how little respect for anyone else you have,” Biden said.
