June 29th Is The End Of An Era

We knew this day was coming, but it’s so bitter to know this week will be the last week of business at Toys R Us. While the once popular toy store used to dominate the children’s toy market, by the end of this week, all locations will be officially closed. The company has been on a downward trend for so long that prices have been slashed across the board and Geoffrey The Giraffe is looking to clean out his stores with massive savings. You can save 60-90 percent on most products before the bankrupt company closes forever.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on how this one store changed our childhoods forever. When we were young, we would be mesmerized by the aisles stacked with our favorite brands, logos, and characters as we begged our parents to own everything in the store. It was like a fantasy land for all of us, and every time we pulled into the parking lot, we couldn’t contain our excitement.

If you can find a store still open in your area, it might be well worth it take one more trip down nostalgia lane, as the company failed to auction off its name and logo in May. You might just find some amazing savings along the way. As unfortunate as the closing of Toys R Us is, I feel like we can all be thankful for the positivity and happiness it brought children, teens, and even adults alike. Deep down, we all yearn to be kids at heart, and Toys R Us was the best place to replicate those emotions.
