Disturbing Details

In the midst of the “Me Too” movement, NFL cheerleaders are the most recent group of women to speak out about being objectified. Members of the Washington Redskins cheer squad filed a report detailing a recent trip to Costa Rica where they posed for a photo shoot. All was good and well until they were asked to remove their tops with male sponsors present to watch. The report goes on the note that one night, nine squad members were selected to “escort” male sponsors to a nightclub. Outraged, the women say they feel “this is not part of their job description.” The Washington Redskins organization did release a statement, but made no mention of an investigation.
