Celebrate The Day of Donuts
The first Friday in June is actually a VERY important holiday. National Donut Day! Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away free donuts for the special day and people are definitely taking advantage.
A little history behind Donut Day! The first National Donut Day was in 1938 as a tribute to the Salvation Army’s ‘Donut Lassies’ who helped support troops during World War 1. Two volunteers fried donuts for troops to give them a little taste of home along with satisfying physical hunger.
If you are one of them many donut lovers, today is the day to get free donuts. Hit Dunkin’ Donuts or Cumberland Farms for some free donuts. Donuts are running out fast, so get yours while you still can!
