‘Friends’ Cast Member Joey Admits To Taking Props From Show

It’s been almost 15 years since iconic sitcom “Friends” was last on our screens but it’s still as popular as ever, especially after Netflix began streaming the show.

Wherever the cast goes, they can’t seem to escape being asked about the old days. I guess we all want to know what it was like to be part of one of the biggest shows ever made.

Well, now Matt LeBlanc, who played lovable goof Joey Tribbiani, has revealed how he stole a couple of mementos from the “Friends” set before it ended in 2004. The 51-year-old was speaking to Jimmy Fallon about a new series and admitted to the theft.

“Did you ever take anything from the show as a souvenir?” asked Jimmy.

He soon revealed his long-kept secret, adding: “You know in Joey and Chandler’s apartment we had the foosball table? I have the actual ball from the table, the foosball. I have it in my toolbox somewhere. Why it’s in my toolbox I don’t know, but I ended up with the foosball.”

But that wasn’t the only thing he swiped from his old job.

He went on: “And the other thing I took was, you know the Magnadoodle that was on the back of the apartment door, that always had things written on it? Well, I clipped that at the end.”

LeBlanc continues, “I couldn’t fit the couch in my car, but the Magnadoodle was cool because there was this one guy, Paul, on the crew, that was the one that always drew whatever was on there. He wasn’t one of the writers, he was one of the electricians on the show, but he just happened to be the artist that kind of drew always something relevant to the story that week. So I stole it and gave it to him, so he’s got it.”

The actor then added: “I could’ve sold it for a lot more!”

The former Top Gear presenter then told the host that he now finds it tough to watch re-runs of the classic comedy because it makes him feel like he’s 100 years old. In an interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan, LeBlanc said a fan even came up to him once and thought he was Joey’s dad.

He said: “I was walking down the street one day, this was a few years ago, this kid, he must have been 13, 14, he’s like, ‘Oh my God, you’re Joey’s dad!’ And my response was, ‘Scram!’ Like an old guy would say.”
