In true Letterman fashion, the show featured odd ball humor and sarcastic comments as well as a Top 10 list that featured even more famous friends like Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

There was even a mini ‘Seinfeld’ reunion when Julia Louis Dreyfus and Jerry Seinfeld made an appearance on the finale. Letterman has been on the ‘Late Show’ for over three decades now and there is no doubt that he made a remarkable impression in pop culture – one that cannot be replaced.

He ended his final show with a simple goodbye – “For the last time on a television program … thank you and good night.” And just like that the “Late Show with David Letterman” is no more.
