Kim Kardashian West, who is studying to become a lawyer, has a passion for criminal justice reform. Kim has personally visited death row inmates she believes were wrongfully convicted and lobbied President Trump to release Alice Johnson, a black grandmother serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense.

Now, Kim is offering Johnson, who was released from prison because of Kim’s efforts, the chance to become a lingerie model.

Johnson will model Kim’s new line of shapewear, called Skims.

“Kim went to war for me, to fight for my freedom,” Johnson said in a social media post about the modeling job. “That’s why I call her my war angel.”

Johnson had been in prison for more than 20 years when Kardashian West took on her case. She acknowledged what she had done wrong, but begged for mercy from the court system.

“I participated in a drug conspiracy and I was wrong,” Johnson said in 2016. “It’s hard to imagine that I have now served 20 years of my life sentence for that one mistake.”

In addition to raising four children with her rapper husband Kanye West and launching her own lingerie line, Kardashian West is working on getting a law license by studying under a practicing attorney. Kim is expected to become a licensed attorney in 2022.
