Ken Jeong’s Medical Emergency Show-Shopper

When emergency strikes you hear, “Is someone here a doctor,” you wouldn’t expect the doctor to be a comedian on stage performing stand-up. This is exactly what happened during Ken Jeong’s stand-up act on Saturday in Phoenix.

A member of the audience, believed to be a heckler was suffering for a seizure and was asking for medical assistance. Jeong came to her help with his medical background as a physician, before pursuing his passion for comedic acting.

Initially thinking he was being heckled he replied with a joke, when he realized that they we’re seeking medical attention. An audience member helped Jeong with keeping the woman stable until the arrival of paramedics. The female audience member was reported to have initially lost consciousness, but once she was helped and regained consciousness she was on her feet until the ambulance arrived.

Once the paramedics arrived to help the woman suffering with the seizure, Ken Jeong returned to the stage to finish his set. Many audience member have commented on the occurrence through social media saying that he was helpful to the woman in need, while giving a great performance. The female audience member who suffered the seizure has yet to be identified and there has yet to be an update on her condition.
