Jeffree Star Working With Authorities To Find Burglarers

Youtuber and makeup guru Jeffree Star just released a video detailing a recent robbery of one of his several warehouses, with burglarers stealing nearly $2.5 million worth of makeup products. Last night Star released a video on his Youtube channel detailing everything that is known about the crime.

The Youtube video has only been up for 23 hours and is the #1 trending video on YouTube with over 7.9 million views thus far. The robbery was said to have taken place two weeks ago (on March 15) in Los Angeles, Star says that he thinks this is an inside job and previous employees could have tipped off the burglarers.

Star is working closely with law enforcement to investigate what exactly happened and the possible whereabouts of the missing products in question. On the same day of the robbery, Star released a video on his Youtube channel detailing the new product launch of his latest collection, Blue Blood.

In the video Star also leaks that Jeffree Star Cosmetics will be releasing the first concealer line called Magic Star, shortly after the Blue Blood collection release and should be hitting shelves by the end of this month.

As the new concealer has yet to hit the market and all of the Jeffree Star Cosmetic lines sell-out within minutes from release, making it a high-demand commodity that is sure to sell, even if it’s stolen product. Star is known for being outgoing and constantly on social media, stepped out of the spotlight in lieu of this recent event.

Among the supply stolen were lip liners, eyeshadow palettes, and an entire shade range of the yet to be released Magic Star concealer. The new collection of concealers was to feature a shade range of 30 colors and now one is completely gone from the collection.

So far the investigation has proven that the people responsible for the robbery are black market beauty/makeup dealers. So far there is little evidence to indicate who was responsible for the robbery, but pictures of the unreleased product popped up in a couple of different places.

The first picture was found under Facebook marketplace (their feature for buying and selling) with someone offering it for sale. Another picture was found under a personal selling app that was listed as a bundle and purposefully misspelled Star’s name so it couldn’t be traced back to the seller.

With the help of authorities and a private investigation team, one of the people responsible for the selling of the stolen product is in jail. Since the robbery happened days before the launch of the Blue Blood collection, many orders are expected to take more time for fulfillment with possible unit missing from the collection.

Though the details of this case are still developing one thing is for sure, these robbers clearly messed with the wrong person.
