Lottery Prize Is Worth Billions
The lottery is always a gamble but no gamble could ever be as rewarding as entering the Mega Millions and Powerball this week. The two have a combined grand jackpot over $2.2 billion after no winners from the previous draws.
The next Mega Millions draw, on Tuesday will be for a world record jackpot. What would you do if you won that kind of money?! It is a terrifying amount of cash.
Gordon Medenica who is the lead director of the Mega Millions Group, released a statement saying: “Mega Millions has already entered historic territory, but it is truly astounding to think that now the jackpot has reached an all-time record.”
It isn’t just the Mega Millions that has upped the ante, the Powerball jackpot of $470 million was also unclaimed over the weekend, meaning that the draw this week will be for a jackpot of $620 million. The winner can also opt for a cash prize of more than $354 million, from which the federal government will take 25% right away, and more later.
It was also recently revealed that Mega Millions odds have dropped compared to a years ago. Previously the odds on winning were one in 303 million, while now they are one in 259 million. As if you needed that more of an incentive.
If a player was to hit all six numbers, they can opt for an immediate cash out of $904 million, you can however receive the $1.6 billion prize over a 29 year period. That is $55.17 million per year for 30 years!
Be right back, going to get my lucky numbers.
