The stalker led Style to hire a private security guard

A homeless man accused of stalking pop star Harry Styles has been found guilty. The man, Pablo Tarazaga-Orero, began sleeping outside of Styles’ home last March. Styles said at first he offered the man food and money, not realizing what his intentions were. Tarazaga-Orero then began leaving Styles notes asking for money and approaching him in public.

“He asked me if I wanted to go to a restaurant and eat with him,” Styles said. “I told him I was on my way to work so I couldn’t. I found it a little odd…His facial expression made me feel a little uneasy; it was a kind of smirk. I realized there was something not quite normal. I never really encountered this kind of behavior before. I’ve employed a night guard. I continue to lock my bedroom door at night.”

Styles contacted the police to file a report about the stalker in June.

In court, the homeless man denied being “in love” with Styles and said he simply wanted the money that Styles offered him when they first met. He said he didn’t “intend” to scare Styles.

“That was never my intention. In the end I just wanted the money he offered me,” he said in court. “I don’t have any feelings for him. I’m not in love with him.”
