Fans Go Wild For Frank Ocean

After months of speculation, Frank Ocean released new music early Friday, dropping the visual album Endless via Apple Music. Endless is Ocean’s first album since his critically claimed album Channel Orange, which came out in 2012. Since then, Ocean has disappeared from the public eye for quite some time. However, it seems that his time of silence has been well-spent.

Although fans were expecting the album to be the much anticipated Boys Don’t Cry, the release of that album has been pushed back, but hopefully will come out next. Endless is directed by Ocean and features 18 new songs and also features appearances from James Blake and Jonny Greenwood. Ocean’s album Blonde was released just a few days after the release of Endless. Both ordinary fans as well as famous ones were thanking Ocean for such great new albums. Some of those famous fans included Jimmy Fallon and Daily Show host Trevor Noah.

Ocean responded to the outpouring of excitement from his fans by replying on Tumblr about how grateful he is to his fans for not forgetting him. He also told about how he had “the time of my life making” this. The album Blonde has 17 tracks, including ‘Nikes’, ‘Ivy’, and ‘Solo’. The albums have been so popular that pop-up shops have opened in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London for fans to purchase the music. Fans can also stream Blonde exclusively on Apple Music for two weeks.
