Winter Is Finally Finishing

HBO’s hit show ‘Game of Thrones’ has officially wrapped up production of its eighth and final season. The incredibly successful show that debuted in 2011, and has quickly become one of the most talked about shows of the century. The fantasy based HBO original is based on George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire’ collection of books, but the show’s production quickly picked up pace and surpassed the novel’s. These developments explore a new territory that long-time readers of the series didn’t even know about.

Now, each of the cast members is, in a way, mourning the loss of their roles as their characters are not expected to return. While a prequel to the show has begun development, it is set to take place so far back in history of the Westeros timeline that many of the familiar faces we know in today’s episodes will not make a reappearance. For example, Maisie Williams (the actress who played Arya Stark) showed pictures of bloodied sneakers while potentially hinting at the fate of her character.

While no one knows what’s going to debut in this six-episode season, it is promised to be the most bloody season, as impending doom is set to take over the seven kingdoms. For all of us ‘Thrones’ fans who can’t wait any longer, the premiere inches ever so closer, with the show set to close out in Spring of 2019.

Who will come out as king (or queen) of the seven kingdoms when all is said and done?
