Prepare To Be Proven Wrong

If you are one of the few people out there who doubt Emma Stone’s ability to do LITERALLY anything – prepare to be proven wrong. She has once again added another task into her long inventory of things that she is amazing at – this time by way of showing Woody Allen how to use Twitter.

The 79-year-old legend turned to Emma to explain the social media phenomenon, and if you have ever tried explaining social media to anyone over the age of 50, you know it can be a difficult task at times. But this is Emma Stone we are talking about and the wise Emma Stone turned the tables on Allen and explained Twitter the best way that she knew how – with a quote from Woody Allen.

Allen was confused as to what was so important that a person needs to get a thought out there on the internet in 140 characters or less. Emma ventured on to Twitter (even though sadly she does not have an account) and found a tweet sent out by Joyce Carol Oates.

Oates had recently tweeted “tragedy plus time equals comedy” to which Allen remembered – that was a line from his movie ’Crimes and Misdemeanors’. All of a sudden Woody Allen knew the importance of Twitter, so people could tweet out quotes from Woody Allen films. Good going, Emma – now if you would just get a Twitter that would be great!
