Sterling has been banned for life by the NBA in response to racist comments the league says he made in an audio recording, Sterling was also fined $2.5 Million.

We bet he wishes he could eat his words right about now!

The Backlash Begins

Many people have taken to the airwaves and social media to express their disgust with racist comments allegedly made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling

President Barack Obama said that comments are “incredibly offensive racist statements,” before casting them as part of a continuing legacy of slavery and segregation that Americans must confront.

Magic Johnson tweeted that the comments were “A black eye for the NBA. I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans, and I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.”

The Miami Heat let the players in the Los Angeles Clippers organization know that they’re not alone.

In an act of solidarity, the defending NBA champions reproduced the Clippers’ silent protest against team owner Donald Sterling. Even famed band The Village people have banned their music at the Clippers’ games.

It looks like the only resolution to the issue that is Donald Sterling is to get rid of him (sporting wise), make him pay, and play on.
