Connection Between Blood Pressure And Alzheimer’s
Studies now show that controlling your blood pressure has a high impact on lowering your chances of Alzheimer’s. Certain medical professionals are saying that medications that cost little to nothing (pennies a day) could reduce your risk significantly.
It is not new information that high blood pressure is definitely connected to Alzheimer’s. In 2013 is was proven that people with hypertension or high blood pressure were likely to have biomarkers of Alzheimer’s in their spinal fluid. Researchers have also found when they examined brain tissue samples they saw more areas of dead tissue caused by a block in the blood supply to the brain.
So if you are getting a little older and have found that your blood pressure is above average, talk to your doctor about action you can take to avoid any risks.
