Man Hunt For Sol Pais Continues In Colorado

Dozens of schools throughout the Denver area are closed today as police search for a Florida woman “obsessed” with Columbine. Sol Pais, 18, flew from her home state of Florida to Denver on Monday night, just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting. She purchased a shotgun in Denver and allegedly made threats against schools in the area. Police say Pais is “armed and dangerous” and encourage anyone with information to contact them.

Columbine High School, site of the notorious 1999 school shooting, implemented a “lockout policy,” where the exterior doors to the school were bolted while classes continued as usual. But on Tuesday night, several other school districts decided to close completely, telling students and teachers not to report to school.

“All schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17 due to safety concerns related to a credible threat against schools in the area,” Cherry Creek School District Tweeted on Tuesday night. All school-related events, sports practices, and other activities were also canceled.

As of Wednesday morning, Pais was still on the loose. She was spotted near Columbine High School a few days ago wearing an outfit similar to clothing worn by the “Trenchcoat Mafia,” the clique the Columbine shooters, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, belonged to.

The FBI says Pais is armed and is considered extremely dangerous.
