After fans speculated that Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift were feuding over Demi’s support of Scooter Braun, the music mogul Swift calls a “manipulative bully.” But the two singers appeared to be getting along just fine in a series of social media posts, in which Lovato praises Swift’s new album, “Lover.”

Swift broke records with “Lover,” becoming the first female artist to have six number-one albums in a row. “Lover” sold approximately 850,000 copies in its first week in the United States alone.

On Instagram, Lovato praised Swift’s latest single, “Cruel Summer.” She called the 90’s remake “a jam.” She also wrote, “Life’s too short for women not to support other women..especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift.”

Fans accused Lovato of throwing shade at Swift when she wrote a cryptic social media post saying she was skipping the Video Music Awards “for a reason.” Swift was the big winner at the VMAs, taking home the award for Video of the Year.

But it turns out Lovato was just busy filming an episode of “Will & Grace,” the long-running sitcom now in its final year.

Swift graciously accepted Lovato’s compliments, writing that she had “the biggest smile” after reading her kind comments.
