Connor McGregor was in attendance at the AT&T Stadium on Sunday night as the guest of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. McGregor has the true VIP treatment as he sat in a luxurious box to watch the Cowboys beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The UFC superstar was in his usual good form and was seen laughing and joking with the players before the kick off. He was given the football to throw but lets just say, he should stick to the fighting. Dak Prescott celebrated his touch down in true McGregor fashion by celebrating with the trademark Irishman’s strut.

McGregor was looking to take his mind off his fourth round submission defeat to disgraced UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in early October. However, the Irishman had an idea of a potential location for the likely rematch when he was speaking to Jonas. He said: “An octagon has got to be in the center of this. You know what would look good in this stadium, a UFC octagon.”

He continued: “But not only a UFC octagon, but my bare feet ready to go.”

The superstar isn’t likely to compete in the UFC again until next year, but who knows, maybe an MMA event in Dallas could be what the fans want. It wouldn’t be the first time that the stadium has been used for a non-football event, with the AT&T used as a music venue and a home to WWE’s Wrestlemania previously.

The UFC poster boy’s coach seems to have an idea on when his next fight could be, John Kavanagh said: “Summer is relaistic. I was looking at March 16th as Paddy’s Day is the 17th March. That’s a Sunday and March 16th a Saturday so imagine Madison Square Garden on the Saturday night before St Patrick’s Day. That would be insane.”

That would certainly add something to the event, that is for sure!
