These Vices Are Actually Good For You
Wouldn’t it be great if beer, wine, and chocolate were good for your health? Well then, here is some great news for you. They are definitely not the worst things for you to consume, and they come with some pretty awesome health benefits, too.
Studies show that people who eat or drink chocolate, wine, and beer on the regular are not at all pre-scheduled for early funerals. You can have a long, healthy life consuming these items. They are full of antioxidants which reduce inflammation and offset serious illnesses like cancer and heart disease.
The researchers at Warsaw University conducted a 16-year-long study on 68,000 adults to arrive at these findings. Now, it’s not like you can consume a diet purely consisting of beer, wine, and chocolate and live to a hundred.
These items should be consumed along with plenty of healthy fruits and vegetables because of the tremendous benefits of their anti-inflammatory properties. Newsweek reports on this study, “Processed and unprocessed meats, offal, chips and soft drinks were categorized as pro-inflammatory foods that were best avoided.” The researchers also found that the consumption of alcohol is most advantageous when taken in low to moderate amounts.
So, next time, you may want to stick with the beer but skip the fries. Happy Friday!
