Living With HIV

Charlie Sheen has released himself from his prison. “It’s a hard three letters to absorb,” the 50-year-old actor said when he revealed he is HIV positive on the “Today” show Tuesday.

Reports about Sheen’s health began circulating the day before. And during the interview, the 50-year-old said he was diagnosed 4 years ago. And despite years of abuse he insists he never transmitted the disease to anyone. Sheen said he came forward after years of betrayal and blackmail from people who discovered his secret.

The actor still doesn’t know how he contracted HIV and says it’s an ongoing battle. His youngest child still doesn’t know about his father’s condition and says he isn’t going to tell her till she’s a little older. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
