It has been confirmed that pop star Ariana Grande has split up with her comedian fiancé Pete Davidson.

There romance was a swift affair, they had only announced there engagement in May. But in light of current circumstances and work commitments it is thought that they could no longer commit to the marriage.

A friend close to the pair had been reported saying: “It was way too soon and it is not shocking to anyone that it has ended.”

25-year old Grande and Saturday Night Live comedian Davidson had started seeing each other back in May and quickly soon after they announced that they had moved in together and were engaged. If that wasn’t enough commitment, the couple also have two matching tattoos and a pet pig, named Piggy Smalls.

Pete was the one that shared the news on social media in June, posting a photo of Grande’s hands and a massive diamond on her finger, with the caption of: “You know what you’d dream it be like? It’s better than that.”

However, rumors seemed to come quickly following the engagement that all was not as it seems. Pete was spotted with one his matching tattoos covered up with a new design. While, Grande posted on her social media channels that she was “so tired.”

Ariana then announced that she would be taking an extended break from music with one of her representatives stating: “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones.”

Grande was shattered by the news that her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller has died on 7th September, claiming that Miller was the ‘dearest friend.’ The singer also stated in May that she has been suffering with post traumatic stress following the events of the Manchester terror attacks in 2017.
