Check Out The Star-Studded Lineup For Coachella

The Coachella line-up for 2019 has arrived – and it’s led by the likes of Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala.

All three acts will take top billing at the iconic California festival, which over the weekends of April 12-14 and 19-21.

Gambino, the alter-ego of Donald Glover, will take top billing on the Friday night of the festival, while Tame Impala and Ariana follow respectively on the Saturday & Sunday.

As well as supporting slots for the likes of Janelle Monae, The 1975, Solange and Weezer, BLACKPINK will make history by becoming the first female K-Pop group to perform at Coachella.

Grande’s headline slot comes after she made her Coachella debut in 2018, dropping into Kygo’s set to perform ‘No Tears Left To Cry.’

According to TMZ, West pulled out of the 2019 event because he didn’t want to perform on the festival’s traditional 40×60 foot stage because it was “artistically limiting.”

“These 40×60 stages are so archaic. It’s the same type of stage on which Shakespeare’s works were performed hundreds of years ago,” a source told the website.

When the festival organizers were unwilling to accommodate West’s demands, they allegedly parted ways.

Grande was more than happy to fill the void. She tweeted: “Humbled and excited as all hell – thank u,” adding an emoji of a cactus, referencing the desert city where the bash takes place.

The festival is held on 12-14 and 19-21 April, and tickets go on sale on Friday.
