An Apple Store employee in California has been fired after he was caught texting himself intimate photos from a customer’s iPhone. The victim, Gloria Fuentes, wrote about the experience on Facebook, in a post that has been shared by thousands of users.

Fuentes said she tried to delete personal photos from the phone before making an appointment at the Apple Store. However, a few intimate photos remained in her library of 5,000 photos–which meant the employee spent a great deal of time searching her phone for photos to send to himself.

“So I go in, I give the guy my phone he’s messing around with it for quiet a while and I didn’t really pay any mind to it because I just figured he’s doing his job, looking into my insurance info or whatever. He asked me for my passcode TWICE in that time frame which I, at the time, still didn’t think anything of. So turns out I had to go through my phone company to fix my screen or whatever and I leave. I walk in my house turn on my phone about to text someone and realize there’s a message to an unsaved number!!!!! I open it and instantly wanted to cry!!! This guy went through my gallery and sent himself one of my EXTREMELY PERSONAL pictures that I took for my boyfriend and it had my geolocation on so he also knows where I live!!!”

Fuentes confronted the employee, who initially denied sending himself the photo. But after Fuentes spoke to the manager and threatened the employee with legal action, he was reportedly fired.

“This makes me cry thinking about it but I think he needs to be held accountable and anyone else that has had him work on their phone should be aware of the fact that there’s a possibility that he’s done this to them!!” Fuentes wrote.
