The Hot Button Topic Of Health Care
Amazon, JP Morgan and Berkshire Hathaway are forming a healthcare company. The trio is working to help their US employees find quality care “at a reasonable cost“. The three companies employ more than 1.1 million workers combined. One of its early focuses will be on technology that provides “simplified high-quality and transparent care.”
Warren Buffett says “Our group does not come to this problem with answers. But we also do not accept it as inevitable.” Healthcare is a hot-button topic around the country, with costs for companies often rising faster than inflation. With about 151 million non-elderly people, employer sponsored coverage is the largest part of the US health insurance market.
