Coming This November

Netflix has had a huge hand in revolutionizing the way people watch TV and movies. Realclear politics writes, “After years of steady growth, the number of subscribers to streaming video services like Netflix has topped the number of cable subscribers.”

It’s no surprise seeing as Netflix allows you to binge on newly released shows (or let’s be real, The Office for a third or fourth time) and does not interrupt you with constant commercials that waste away your down time (and are unbearably annoying, if you ask me).

But how would the old-fashioned sort of comic book collectors feel about a comic streaming service just like Netflix?

Going by the name of InkyPen, the new comic subscription service is an app coming to Nintendo Switch in November. It will feature a library of over ten thousand comics at the touch of a button. CEO Ronan Huggard says InkyPen will “bring an all-you-can-read model to the global community. The subscription will cost $8 a month and include graphic novels, manga, and European comics.

It will be the first non-game app on Ninetendo Switch’s eShop. For the teens always with that device in hand, it’s a great resource for reading comics in the modern age.
