Meet The Maker
Meet Nick Pourfard, who is combining his love for skateboarding and guitars. He started skateboarding and playing guitar at the age of 12. When he thought of making guitars out of skateboards, he really wanted to make soemthing that he couldn’t buy and something that would be sentimental. So he tested it out. Piece by piece he began, but ran into some complications.
And that’s when he came across Justin Oakley. Justin worked for a man named Gary. One day Nick walked into Gary’s store with a half-built skate wood guitar and he needed help finishing setting it up. Many people were interested in it, but worried that it was just some guy in his garage gluing skateboards together.
Each guitar could have 4-50 skateboards in it. In the beginning, it was taking 6 months to make a guitar, now he can do it in a day! Check out his story and his progress in the video above!
