Monday Makeup Tips

Sometimes when you have a case of the Monday’s, all you you need a little extra pick-me-up (often times in the form of some strong coffee). Unfortunately, we don’t do coffee. But we do have makeup tutorials to help you revamp that beauty routine this week! Refinery29 is here to save the day! Whether you are looking to change-up your makeup routine, or just want to watch fun tutorials, there are a couple of options for you.

Adding shape to your eyes:
Most of us have the same goal when it comes to our eye makeup: brighter, bolder and more awake looking eyes. The key is learning to shape of your eyes and how to work with them. Do you have almond-shaped eyes, round eyes, hooded eyes, monolid eyes, or down-turned eyes? Yes, there are really that many types of eyes. Step one to adding shape is pinpointing the shape you’re working with and rocking it! Here’s what to do for your eye shape, brought to you by Refinery29:

Downturned eyes: Use a two-toned cat-eye. The complimentary colors will make the look more dynamic.
Monolid eyes: This shape is already cat-eye in nature, so vamp it up by using multiple layers of cat-eye with shadow or liner colors.
Almond eyes: You lucky lady…this is the easiest shape to work with because you can pull off basically any look. Shoot for the moon!
Round eyes: These look gorgeous rimmed with one shade that compliments the eye color.
Hooded eyes: Go for the banana-shaped smokey eye, and don’t worry about smudging…it will go with the look.
